The people of Hawaii are known for our love of Spam (and our office is no exception!). We rounded up some ideas on how to make a tooth-healthy Spam-centric meal. Here are some of our favorites:
• Have Spam for Breakfast.
How about some Spam hash? Pan fry Spam, add some
cubed potatoes and cook everything until crisp, adding in some sliced onions and peppers halfway through. Season it with salt and pepper and a dash of hot sauce, break an egg into the middle, and toss it in the oven until the egg is just barely cooked through. Recipe via SeriousEats.com
Or try eggs and Spam. Kiddos will love “green eggs and spam.”
Slice the Spam and pan fry to serve on the side of eggs cooked just the way you like. Or, try a Spam omelet with cubes of Spam and veggies.
• Try it as a Kabob!
Spam kabobs are a great way to incorporate fresh fruits and veggies. Cut larger Spam cubes and alternate with pineapple and onion. Grill and serve over rice.
• Wrap it up with Spam Musubi
