Whether you like your ice cream in a sundae, double scoop or a cone, there’s no denying that the sugar-packed frozen treat isn’t good for your smile. Swap out your scoops for a naturally sweetened option made with frozen bananas.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas in frozen chunks
  • ¼ cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • ¼ cup mini dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Add bananas to a food processor
  2. Blend until smooth, about 3 minutes
  3. Scrape the blended bananas into a bowl and stir in the coconut flakes and chocolate chips
  4. Enjoy immediately as soft serve, or freeze for at least one hour for a firmer ice cream

Strawberry-nana Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas in frozen chunks
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries

Instructions

  1. Add bananas and ¾ cup of the frozen strawberries to a food processor
  2. Blend until smooth, about 3 minutes
  3. Add the remaining ¼ cup frozen strawberries and blend until chunky
